The kitchen, dining room, and living room are all in a straight line along the hallway, with the kitchen opening onto the dining room and a wall with a large cutout opening between the dining room and living room.

    • "Heliopolis". The name given by Ernest Littlefield to a castle/fortress on a world whose stargate address wasn't listed on the Abydos cartouche (and was therefore unknown to the Goa'uld). Ernest theorized that it was a meeting place for four ancient races to share knowledge or discuss relations, like a "United Nations of the stars". He came to that conclusion after studying a particular room in the castle, which had panels of writing in four distinctly different alphabets (one clearly Asgard), and a central energy column that when activated produced a holographic, floating 3D display of known elements (146 in this "table"-- compared with 111 for 1997 Earth, and 90 for 1945 Earth), which functioned as a basic, cross-species basis for communication (hydrogen always consists of one proton and one electron). That holographic display was just the first page in the "book"-- a tool to allow anyone to "read&quotwhat else was being said: a collaboration of the knowledge of all four races, and possibly the key to everything's existence. Given what else is known about the earlier stages of the civilized galaxy(ies), the other races were likely the Nox, the Furlings, and the Ancients. The column in the middle of the room appears to have been designed/engineered by the same race that built the stargates and DHDs -- the Ancients. (Torment of Tantalus)

SG-1's actions -- against direct orders -- to stop Apophis's attack by ship despite the shutdown is enough to get the program reinstated. (Politics)

The naquadah later reformed inside her to create a bomb by pulling potassium out of her bloodstream, and causing cardiac arrest which Fraiser responded to by shocking her -- the electrical stimulus the bomb needed to activate. One side of the bomb was made up of naquadah, the other of iron and potassium. The sides were separated by a (decaying) layer of fatty tissue. (Singularity)

        • Has a hint of religous fervor about him -- not obviously in casual conversation, just enough to show up on the radar (when Teal'c said Apophis wouldn't rest until the people of Earth worshipped him as a god, Kinsey got very intense as he said "There is only ONE God, sir, and I do not believe for one moment that he would allow for one moment what you are trying to tell me to come to pass. We are, after all, 'one nation, under *God*'.") (Politics)
      • The president's name is unknown. Also unknown if it's the same president serving through two terms, although it seems likely, given that Hammond appears to maintain some sort of personal relationship with him. In the beginning of the program, he was very keen on the SGC, SG-1, and Jack O'Neill; when Kinsey questioned the necessity of the program, the president held Jack and SG-1 up "as a shining example of the fine work the SGC is doing,&quotand demanded that Kinsey give them a fair trial.         • First interaction with the SGC was to come bringing an order releasing the refugee Tollans into NID (=his) custody, so they could be held in a "secure facility" in the Rockies. When Hammond stalled him long enough to give Daniel a chance to help the Tollans escape, Maybourne reacted by threatening to shoot all the escaping Tollans and court-martial Daniel.         • While still working at Area 51, he worked on a prototype weapon whose development was overseen by Colonel Samuels -- a naquadah-enhanced Mark-12A warhead. (Serpent's Lair)
      • Samuels: (...) He was the person who gave Senator Kinsey a (probably highly biased against) briefing about the SGC, to fill him in on all the details, and accompanied Kinsey to the SGC for the "hearing&quotKinsey conducted, which resulted in the (temporary) shutdown of the program. Very likely suggested to the Joint Chiefs that the best move was to not do anything in terms of mobilizing forces while the Goa'uld ha'tak vessels were approaching the planet, so the Goa'uld wouldn't know Earth had been warned. He wanted to use a pre-emptive strike against the Goa'uld, using a new weapon -- a naquadah-enhanced Mark 12A warhead. The enhanced warhead yielded in excess of 1,000 megatons. He oversaw its development at Area 51 with Colonel Maybourne. He had two prototypes ready for launch at Vandenberg AFB. He truly believed that these weapons -- which he called "Goa'uld Busters"-- would be enough to utterly defeat the two Goa'uld vessels. (He was completely wrong.)       • She had been trapped in a sarcophagus on Earth for thousands of years, in a Mayan temple -- the Temple of the Inscriptions, in Palenque, Mexico. (Hathor)
      • After her sarcophagus was opened and she killed the archaeologists who found her, she made her way to the SGC, sensing that that's where the stargate was. (Hathor)
      • When captured by security guards at the SGC, she was placed in room 16K7-45 -- a holding cell. (Hathor)
      • She possessed the ability to breathe out a chemical, some sort of pheremone (visible as pink breath), which left men extremely susceptible to her suggetion. If she got close enough, the men would breathe it in, and then do whatever she wanted. It didn't affect Jaffa (protected by their symbiotes) or women. Other than being totally amenable to her, though, the affected men didn't behave particularly differently. When she left, the effect was cut off, leaving temporary memory loss behind. (Hathor)
      • She attempted to take control by drugging all the men at the SGC with her pink breath; the only male on the base totally immune was Teal'c, because of his symbiote. (Hathor)
      • She intended to set up a new dynasty based on Earth. The negotiation was a ploy, and the stargate was destroyed -- as soon as the emissary entered the stargate, there was a massive explosion. She repeated the ploy with Cassandra, in an attempt to destroy Earth's stargate. (Singularity)
    • Pelops: Called "the creator&quotand "the giver of days&quotby the Chosen -- people from the planet Argos who are the descendants of people Pelops took from ancient Greece and modified to live an incredibly sped-up life (100 days, instead of 100 years). He wanted to see how humans evolved, shortening the lifecycle enough that he could see 100,000 years of evolution in just 100 years. Upon being greeted as gods by the cave-dwelling natives of P3X-513, Hanson convinced his team that pretending to be gods would be a good way to help the locals set up a political structure to save themselves. About 4-5 weeks later, a child got lost from the caves, and Hanson went out into the day to find her, and was outside for two full days -- the last straw on the camel's back of his sanity, apparently. Later, when some of the cave-dwellers questioned him on the assumption he was just a man, not a god, he tied them to stakes and left them out in the sunlight for seven days -- by which time they were blind from the extreme solar radiation, and covered in giant bleeding burns; they died shortly after. Hanson didn't stop at killing natives; when two of his men, Frakes and Conner, tried to flee back to Earth to warn the SGC what was going on, he chased them down and shot Frakes himself. He began working the natives nearly to death, building him a temple, with the promise that he would "turn the sky orange"-- activate a Goa'uld energy shield that would keep out the worst of the radiation -- after they finished. He was really waiting for Sam and SG-1 to appear, so he could make Sam turn it on for him. She did (after he threatened Jack), and Hanson called an assembly of the locals to proclaim his power. He didn't realize the shield needed two devices working together; when Daniel explained that and signalled Teal'c to turn the other one on, the natives turned on Hanson, and threw him into an active Stargate -- dialled for Earth, but with no GDO signal sent through, so no open iris. (First Commandment)

The "Touched", as the 'cursed' are called, were driven into the dark side of the planet, to survive in the forest as what amounted to prehuman creatures, and were considered dead by their relatives and friends; in fact, they were the victims of a virus. The Goa'uld had left them alone for at least a generation when SG1 and SG3 found them. (Broca Divide)
      • "Touched&quotvirus: A parasitical virus that feeds on alines and cholines -- chemical transmitters in the body, including neurotransmitters. As the transmitters are depleted, all but the most primitive parts of the brain shut down. The organism releases a hormone that stimulates the primitive parts of the brain that are normally dormant. It's a histaminolytic -- it breaks down histamines. Eventually, Dr. Fraiser figured out that antihistamines (specifically chlorpheniramene malleate) in high enough doses could control and even reverse the effects of the virus. (Broca Divide)

      • Culture: Fairly primitive, with hunting and guard "garb&quotreminiscent of the Mudmen of Papua New Guinea (picture or picture -- link will open in a new browser window). Clothing otherwise seemed to be a gender-neutral skirt and shirt, or long shift, of pale fabric. The people live in caves that used to be mines, but their population was growing too fast for the caves to continue supporting them -- they didn't have the technology to dig more caves, and they didn't want to live outside, because the solar radiation is deadly. They had legends of the old gods (Goa'uld), and how they "turned the sky orange"-- put a shield of some sort in place in the atmosphere to protect them from the soalr radiation. Captain Jonas Hanson, of SG-9, went completely insane on the planet during a mission there, and set himself up as their new god, with the promise that he'd turn the sky orange and save them all if they worshipped him. When SG-1 proved him a false god, the locals turned on him and tossed him through the stargate (to his death, as it happens). (First Commandment)

I watched the first couple of episodes, and I don't even know what to do with a Stargate universe where, in the space of a generation, the Goa'uld, Tok'ra, and Jaffa have been wiped out so completely that no one even considers a Goa'uld possibility when opening an ancient Egyptian sarcophagus that contains a mummy with a live, wormlike thing inside it. According to Gateworld , Brad Wright has said that it shouldn't be considered official canon, and I'm taking that at face value.
